Friends took us here saying it's the best Puruvian food in the area.
It was ok but we weren't impressed.
Spinach empanadas were good, but fried. All other places we've had them they were baked. Maybe that's Peruvian style.
Service was good.
Got to eat outside since weather was decent.
It's in a business complex so a bit hard to find.
Seriously, this is a hidden gem. Without Google Maps, I would have not discovered this restaurant. It is located in an office park area. If you arrive for dinner, as I did, the parking area may seem deserted. Food was delicious and authentic. One has to ask for cancha. It is not readily served. Very good service otherwise. There is seating outdoors as well.
Our server was so sweet and I honestly loved this place. I would definitely come back for the paella and the peruvian chicken (can't remember the name but it had a green sauce and it was fantastic)
The service here is phenomenal at this hidden gem. I loved the food. We tried every empanada and I can say the cheese and spinach ones are easily the best. I had the chaufa and it was so nostalgic; tasting of food I grew up with. This hidden restaurant is fabulous and the staff make visiting the most pleasant experience.
Like many reviewers will mention, this is a hidden gem tucked away in an unexpected commercial area yet worth finding. This was my first time coming here and I plan to make this place my go to place for a Peruvian fix. We sat in the shade of a large oak tree which made us feel like we were out in the countryside and not surrounded by the concrete and steel. We started with a red sangria which was very refreshing and well made. We ordered the Chaufa with seafood and the classic Lomo Saltado with cilantro rice. The Chaufa with seafood is basically fried rice, but with very good portions of fresh shrimp, calamari, and strips of fish. The Lomo Salato has a wonderful, savory, meaty flavor, and the fries were perfectly cooked, so they were able to stay a little crisp yet at the same time soaked up the sauce. The cilantro rice was so good I could have eaten it on its own. We ended our meal with the bread pudding, which was a warm, thick slice served with whipped cream and topped with caramel sauce. It's very sweet with flavors of nutmeg, cinnamon, raisins, and caramel. I would recommend you enjoy it with a nice cup of coffee. The service was also impeccable. Our server Juana, was just as amazing as the food. She was very friendly and helpful when it came to menu choices. This was such a great experience that I look forward to returning soon.
Mildly disappointing starting with the fact that their food does not deliver great Peruvian fare, or for that matter, sizable amounts. The items ordered:
Parihuela (Seafood soup), $20+? This one had an acceptable broth, but the other ingredients barely made the cut. Diced potatoes in this dish discredit the whole concept of the dish, an addition apparently intended to give more substance to an otherwise modest selection of ingredients. Calamari rings, which arrive prepackaged and are used just about in every Peruvian restaurant, were tasteless and chewy. As a whole this Parihuela was plain average. 3 Stars.
Peruvian Paella, $20? First Paella is from Spain, a very delicate and long cooking process where saffron is basically mandatory, and the many traditional ingredients make it a monumental plate, sort of speak, if done right very delicious. This green version would be the laughing stock of Paella enthusiasts everywhere, where rice occupied 85% of the plate, and the ingredients and peas and carrots the rest. This variation lacked across the board. 2.5 Stars.
Ceviche, $18.50? When asked what kind of fish, the response was Sea Bass, and one of my lovely companions disagreed entirely, but still was the best of the Trio. 3.5 Stars.
Lucuma Ice Cream, $6 each? Sold everywhere and not top of the line, but certainly refreshing. 3 Stars.
Chicha Morada, $3.50? Peruvian drink made from purple corn. Water was clean tasting, restrooms clean.
Service was nice, turns out the staff lacked a single citizen from Peru at the time. Many seem to enjoy this place a little of the grid. 3 Stars.
Super good food. They should make the logo lighter. Hard to find the place after getting dark.
We had the best time . The food, patio, and drinks were off the charts. Very friendly staff and all around good time
